Dental Implants

Single Tooth Implants

Dental implants are the root form replacement for missing teeth. They are most popularly made of a Titanium Alloy over which the tooth crown is fixated thereby avoiding damage to neighboring good vital teeth structures. Single tooth implants have thus become a necessity and not a luxury in dental treatment. Unlike a traditional bridge which uses the support of the neighboring natural teeth, Implants take support from the underlying alveolar bone just like a natural tooth. There are 3 steps- Step1- diagnosis and essential radiographs( RVG and CBCT) Step2- Placement of the root form Implant, Step 3- Fabrication of crown (after healing period of 2-4 months). thus you may require minimum 4 visits to the clinic in order to complete the entire treatment. Implant Bridges

In case you have been missing 2-4 teeth at a stretch in your jaws, placement of 2 implants in strategically planned locations will allow you to replace 4 teeth thus reducing costs and maintaining aesthetics and functionality. In order for the implants to be long lasting, planning the exact positions and execution becomes key to success, thus requiring the skills of an experienced dentist. We at Mangalore Implant Centre have an experienced team practicing Implantology for the last 13 years thus you may consider yourself in safe hands.

All On 4® / Tilted implants

All-On-4 is a treatment concept that was developed for patients missing all the teeth in either the upper or the lower jaw. Here all the teeth up to the first molars are replaced using 4-6 implants by tilting the implants in the posterior regions of the jaw where the bone is usually missing. Thus grafting of bone may be avoided in these areas especially for those patients who are medically compromised and need to avoid unnecessary additional complicated surgical procedures. These procedures require additional training for the dentists and at the Mangalore implant Centre we have doctors trained at these procedures from California since 2013. We have equipped ourselves with latest technologies like Guided surgery in order to allow a seamless approach to replacement of the missing teeth.

Immediate Implants

Immediate Dental implants as the name suggests are meant for those patients who have been recommended to extract non restorable teeth. in such cases removal of the the residual tooth root and placement of a dental implant are done in a single stage thus avoiding the need for 2 surgeries. Handling of the hard and soft tissues to avoid injury and successfully placing the implant is again technique sensitive and needs experienced hands of a surgeon. Take a consultation today if you feel you need to have a tooth replaced and get treated with certified and trained doctors.

Sinus Lift Procedures

Maxillary sinus is located in the posterior aspect of the upper jaw which enlarges into the space created by the removal of upper posterior teeth. the more the time lapse since the removal of upper teeth , the more the sinus tends to enlarge thereby reducing the available ideal height needed for a successful implant placement. these cases need a Sinus -lift procedure prior to or in association with the implant procedure . We at the Mangalore Implant Centre have doctors who have done their training and Masters in Implantology where all these advanced surgical procedures are taught by Masters in the field , thus making us competent in handling these situations par excellence. Not only is it important to get the surgical procedure right, but its important to place the implant in the prosthetically perfect position. thus consult us for any further queries, we will be happy to resolve them.

Hard And Soft Tissue Grafting

Removal of teeth and not replacing them within 6 months leads to tremendous amount of bone and soft tissues around them to shrink. The alveolar bone that surrounds the natural teeth is extremely important to be maintained when replacement with dental implants. This can be done by grafting the socket of the tooth immediately following removal of the tooth. In cases where the bone resorption has already occurred various other modes of hard and soft tissue grafting may be recommended in order to place implants . These are very important procedures to maintain the aesthetics and long term predictability with implant procedures. It is important to discuss the necessity of these procedures with your Implantologist if you are looking for long term health of your implant restorations.
